Description
The striking beauty and diversity of the face of Canada have always been a source of inspiration to its artists. To celebrate Canada Day, Canada Post Corporation presents a miniature sheet of twelve paintings, each one an artist's interpretation of a scene from the ten provinces and two territories. Adrien Hébert's winter street scene in bustling Montreal, owned by the Musée du Québec, represents Quebec, Canada's largest province. The sheet layout of all twelve stamps was arranged to enhance each individual stamp. Both the layout and the typography are the work of Jean Morin and Pierre Sasseville of Montreal.
